The Road To Calvary

This is an inspirational song to be sung the tune Cimmaron by Poco...

Lord, you have saved me,

You are the blessed one.

I'm thankful you forgave me,

You're God's one true son.

I'll follow the plan you gave me,

For now I know I've won.

Walk the path you've made me,

My new life's just begun.

Down that lonesome highway,

Far from Galilee,

There's a northern by way,

Made for you and me.

He paid the ultimate price,

So we can live eternally,

It's paved with sacrifice.

The Road to Calvary.

Lord you've revived me,

Your word is all I need,

It's truth will provide me,

The courage to succeed.

I stand right beside thee,

We'll walk hand in hand,

Your spirit will surely guide me,

Like footprints in the sand.

Steer me from loathsome side ways,

My sins you bore for me,

On You, let holy eyes gaze,

Through you, my soul is free.

Many have tried to find ways,

To reach tranquility,

The only true and tried ways,

Are The Roads to Calvary.

You are my sole deliverer,

God's forsaken son,

The sins of man's discretions,

You've taken from everyone.

So Lord, please take me,

Without You, my life's a mess,

My heart's forever bleeding,

My sins to You I confess.

I believe in thy way,

Man from Galilee,

I promise to obey always,

The Word you've given me.

You paid for my deliverance,

Took on sins selflessly,

You gave my soul forgiveness.

You set my spirit free.

How can I ever repay you?

For the debt you paid for me?

I promise to stay beside you,

Down the Road to Calvary.

You carry a heavy burden,

Man's cross you chose to bear,

Our future is heavenly certain,

A thorned crown you were forced to wear.

As more days move behind me,

And life's journey nears it's end,

Next to you, Lord, you will find me,

Your kindred spirited friend.

For I know Lord you've changed me,

It's become so plain to see.

That this life is just the beginning,

For those who choose to believe.

So heed and trust in Thy Word,

Through it the blind will see,

Follow Lord Jesus skyward,

Along the Road to Calvary.

Little White Tiger Cub

Welcome little white tiger cub,
To this world you've never seen.
The fearlessly, bold embodiment of,
A precious newborn King.

Like you, there are not that many,
My black striped noble friend.
Millions will watch over you,
As your life begins.

Take a moment, quietly pause,
Consider the world and all it's flaws.
Defend your self with tooth and claws,
Protect your ground with giant paws.

You're a welcome sight white tiger cub,
Sitting up and looking 'round.
Perched upon your solid rock,
Taking in your kingdom proud.

Roll around, learn to play,
Your role may suddenly change someday,
A species owes its future to you,
Grow strong, my friend and see things through.

One day you'll be big and strong,
Able to right what man's done wrong.
God willing, my friend, you will survive,
Defy all odds and multiply...

The Rings of Trees (Pink Floyd Tribute IV)

Part 4 in the Dark Side of the Moon series. This is a rewrite of Time...

Counting the days it takes to create a mountain,
Seeking connections between man's existence and time.
Noah can attest a month's rain creates an ocean.
Looking for answers to questions you may never find.

A snowflake can blanket a piece of the world when multiplied,
Is it true that no two are ever exactly alike?
Each grain of sand that ebbs and flows at high tide,
Is a fragment of God's chiseled artistic psyche.

How many seconds exist in an average lifetime?
Does a leaf have more cells than stars in the milky way?
A hand-full of seeds when planted can fill a skyline.
Mother nature tracks her hours through growth and decay.

Layers of earth cover billions of yearly reminders,
Trees are the hour hands of God's vigilant watch.
Their inner circles conceal time-linear definers,
Infinite cords of natural perpetual clocks.

When mankind finally destroys the world he lives in.
When the moon and the sun suddenly cease to shine.
What will become of our homes, our friends and children?
Will the pillage of botanic arrogance equal the crime?

When life's no longer defined by one's soul and purpose.
When forest's are totally sacrificed for malevolent needs.
When foliage and pestilence no longer propagate earth's surface,
Woodlands sheared remnants of an ecologic disease.
The last full measure of inhumane, deplorable co-existence,
May reside in the formidable remains of the rings of trees.

The Life of a Leaf

Born a bud that sprouts in spring,
Bred to reign on branches limbs.
More come out as blue birds sing,
Fed by rain that enhances them.

Stretching out to fill space bare.
Growing with the glowing sun.
Catching dew drops everywhere.
Showing off for everyone.

A colorfully vibrant vestal throng,
Eventual loss of pollen's squeeze.
A visually brightened minstrel song,
Perpetual cause of cough and sneeze.

Waving gently in summer winds.
Providing cover and wanton shade.
Lying limply till autumn begins,
Striving to hover, wanting to stay.

Turning yellow, orange then brown,
Changing colors, before our eyes.
Burning torches without sounds,
Painting summer's waning skies.

Beckoned from birth by nature's call,
Desperately hoping to hang around
One by one to earth they fall.
Silently floating to the ground.

Gathered in piles, raked and blown,
A child's source of pleasured play,
Mulched and bagged, spread and sewn,
Most of course just withered decay.

Those that last just lie around,
Vie for relief of winter's end.
As seasons pass, Spring comes to town.
The Life of a Leaf begins again.

Fade To Black

Autumn's colors wane,
Winter time draws near.
As nights grow longer,
The days I long for,
Slowly disappear.

Seasons gradually change,
It's hard to know they're here.
When they're gone,
Life moves on,
You've lived another year.

So it goes, on and on,
No way to turn it back.
Raindrops fall,
Soon it all,
Fades and turns to black...

Falling Moon

To the natives of Snoqualmie, it means Falling Moon. These are the majestic Snoqualmie Falls of Washington State. This is an acrostic....

Where God created first woman and man,
A spiritual maternity ward.
Salish flume, cultish swoon,
Heaven and earth, umbilical cord.
Incandescent free fall fiord,
Native American's sacred accord.
Gathered strength through powerful flow,
Transformed prayers in pools below.
Oracled legends of earth and moon.
Natural wonder, tourist boom.

Waterfall of series fame,
Often scenes week to week.
Nocturnal mist, blinding spray,
Diverted power toward twin peak.
Elevated famous lodge and spa,
Revelations of Snoqualmie Falls.

Overture of Spring

Eternal new beginnings,
Nature's preamble song,
Tulips trumpet their colors,
Enticingly picture perfect,
Rich, vibrant foliaged gems,
Soils begin to blossom,
Perrenials come alive,
Robins sing, as if on cue,
Impatiens sprout in purplish blue,
Nothing can tame the beauty,
God's annual Overture of Spring.

Do Animals Cry?

I read today that a distraught man
Shot and killed a mother duck.
It angered me how anyone can...
Be so cruel and that screwed up.
I prayed to God this man would suffer,
I prayed that he would die,
I wondered though, in the scheme of it all,
Do animals ever cry?

I read today that a thoroughbred horse,
Three years old and full of pride,
Broke his leg while on a race course,
Galloping in full stride.
I prayed to God the steed not suffer,
I prayed he wouldn't die.
The thought struck me though, when creatures fall,
Do they ever cry?

I read today two geese were flying,
And both got caught in a storm.
They were mates it seemed, together for life,
And one of their wings got torn.
I prayed to God, be merciful Lord,
I prayed it wouldn't die.
These majestic birds that so love one another,
Have they reason to cry?

Then God said to me, in his omnipotent way,
All creatures are born to die.
To them I promise My love and compassion,
An eternal place to lie.
Animals you see,
Are special to me,
They have no need to cry.
